SVMI has developed a High-Definition Intravascular Ultrasound (HD-IVUS) catheter and a compact touch screen console for the real time image guidance of percutaneous coronary interventions. SVMI technology provides sub 50 µm image detail of the tissue-device interaction and is suitable for integration into a host of complex cardiovascular interventional procedures.
SVMI employs senior professionals with more than 150 combined years of IVUS experience that encompasses all facets of product development. SVMI has exceptional technical expertise for catheter-based image guidance technologies, including catheter engineering, high-performance transducer technology, signal and image processing, and embedded systems technology. SVMI expects 510(k) clearance for imaging system and catheter. The Company anticipates CE Marking immediately following US clearance.

In the event of any conflict between foreign laws, rules and regulations and those of the United States, the laws, rules and regulations of the United States shall govern. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods will not apply to these Terms. You hereby consent to personal jurisdiction by the state and federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California.
SVMI may assign its rights and duties under these Terms without such assignment being considered a change to the Terms and without notice to you. You may not assign these Terms without the prior written consent of SVMI.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, any operating rules, policies, or procedures that may be posted from time to time by SVMI on the Site, and any modifications to the foregoing, constitute the entire agreement between the parties with regard to the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior understandings and agreements, whether written or oral, as to such subject matter. Thomas C. Moore is co-founder of SVMI and has served as President and CEO since our founding in May 2007. He has over 20 years of experience in minimally invasive imaging. From 2006 to 2007, he served as Vice President of Marketing and Senior Director of R&D at Volcano Corporation. From 1989 to 2006, he held positions at Boston Scientific Corporation and Cardiovascular Imaging Solutions, including Senior Director of Operations and Senior Director of R&D. Mr. Moore is a member of the Board of Directors for Silicon Valley Medical Instruments, Inc.
Rick Shoga has served as our Chief Financial Officer since October 2010. Mr. Shoga is responsible for all financial and administrative activities including human resources, facilities, purchasing, and information technology. He has over 25 years of financial management experience at medical device, technology, and financial services companies such as Sun Microsystems, Fujitsu, Accretive Solutions, Alara, U.S. Filter (Kinetics). He received his B.S. Degree from San Jose State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Anderson is a quality assurance and regulatory affairs specialist with extensive experience establishing quality management systems for medical devices. For the past 30 years, he worked with early-stage device companies to design systems that enhance the quality, productivity and efficiency of manufacturing. He worked with a variety of regulatory bodies, including the FDA and European Notified Bodies and Competent Authorities and secured ISO:13485 and CE certifications.
Mr. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Quality Assurance, Summa Cum Laude from Cogswell College in Cupertino, California.
Steve Reynolds is a founding member of SVMI and has served as Chief Technical Officer since inception (May 2007) and as VP of Instrument Engineering since June 2009. Mr. Reynolds is a member of the Board of Directors of SVMI. Mr. Reynolds has held positions of hardware and software design in the aerospace, flight simulation, advanced networking, and medical device fields. Mr. Reynolds worked at Cardiovascular Imaging Systems (March 1991 to May 1996) as the principle architect of the ClearView IVUS system and then at Boston Scientific Corp. (May 1996 to Nov 2000) as systems architect and design manager on the Galaxy IVUS system project. Prior to founding SVMI, Mr. Reynolds was Director of Hardware and Software design at Circle Medical. Mr. Reynolds received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University.
Maz So, Director of Systems, specializes in system level software and hardware architecture focused on state of the art medical systems. Maz has extensive experience and knowledge in intravascular imaging systems, having served as a key architect developing system software and hardware interfaces for ClearView, Galaxy, and iLab systems for Boston Scientific for close to 15 years. Maz's areas of expertise include design and architecture of operating systems, real-time imaging systems, device drivers, high speed I/O bus architecture, embedded systems, hardware interface, high performance medical imaging, distributed network based imaging system architecture, regulatory compliance for systems, and systems development process based on Rational Unified Process. Recently, Maz led a development team working on next generation imaging platform for Boston Scientific Imaging R&D group. Prior to joining Boston Scientific, Maz designed and led projects in high performance and reliable system software for Roche Diagnostics, Xerox, and Cisco. Maz holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
